Dr P M Thakrar qualified in 1987 from Southampton University. He joined The Village Practice in September 2003 after twelve years at Havant Health Centre. He graduated from Southampton University with a BM in 1987.

Ms Alison Barnes

Nurse Prescriber/Practice Nurse

RGN/IIHHT/Bsc(Hon). Alison completed her RGN training in 1992 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. She joined our Practice in 2003 from Portsmouth City Primary Care Trust. She specialises in managing long term medical conditions such as diabetes.

Ms Sharon Hughes

Practice Nurse

Sharon joined our surgery in 2011. She started her nursing career in the Army serving in Catterick and Colchester and previously worked at a private hospital in Havant. Her interests are childhood immunisations and women’s health.

Mrs Maria Collins

Healthcare Assistant

Maria provides a support service to the nursing team, some of her duties include: blood pressure checks, ECG’s, health checks, hypertension reviews and doppler studies, seasonal immunisations, ear syringing, and some injections.
